I did not know they were planning any in that area, but I'm sure it will have a pretty big impact up here. Maybe it will force them to lower the table limits a bit so I can actually play there. At the minimum, my drive home on Friday afternoon should be a lot easier without getting stuck in Brunswick on 340.
Hollywood Casino is feeling the impact now. When Casino Live opened near BWI, that essentially killed the business coming from Baltimore. If another is opened near DC the local gambling populace will go there which will take away from Hollywood Casino's business.
There will be impact but, I think many of the people who enjoy going to the casino in Charles Town will continue going there. The new casinos opening in Md. will not be competitive for a long time. Charles town has the most slots..many brand new...all sorts of table games..new restaurants...live entertainment..and a safe environment. It's a very well run facility.
