I am wondering if anyone works in one of these fine establishments. I figured it would be an easy commute to work at one and live in the tri state area. I have heard little about these jobs, but the websites are always filled with opportunities.

What part of WV are you talking about? Wheeling? Charles Town?
Both consider their areas to be "tri-state"?

Don't know about Wheeling, but Charles Town Races & Slots I used to have friends who worked there. They don't pay all that well from what I was told ( less than $9 and hour working in the actual casino, might be higher now as this was in 2002 ) and they told me there is a lot of stress involved.

I was thinking about Wheeling. I was afraid the pay would be lacking, this being why I asked.

My husband and I have been in the casino business over 15 years. We have worked in Nevada, Biloxi, etc. We are now living here (Mountaineer) working in table games, and the pay here on the floor is better than starting pay at the rio in vegas. The cost of living gives you a double raise. The property is nice and the job is good. A few downsides, but all in a good job in a great area for more than adequate pay. Good luck and hope this helped
