The MVP Project sounds very promising for tax revenues and local economies for these WV counties. And the spinoff jobs it will create is a bonus!

Thousands of jobs?? Are these going to be temporary jobs? Are these going be jobs for locals? Or are these going to be jobs for traveling construction workers?

Virtually all temporary construction jobs, though their numbers are getting really abstract in attempting to gauge the jobs created in the "general economy" by the project. Many times those "general economy" job additions are overstated.

With that said, there may be a permanent staff of 50 or so for maintenance and operation.

Pipelines are pretty self sufficient things that don't need a whole lot of attention once they're up and running, just the occasional inspection of the pipes for leaks and maintenance and operation of the compressors.

There is a compressor station for another pipeline on the Raleigh Co./ Mercer Co. line that I pass fairly often and it never has more than two to three vehicles parked at it.
