I just saw a preview for "Lucky Logan", starring Channing Tatum, who plays an out of work miner from WV who organizes a heist at a Nascar event in NC. Daniel Craig plays an eccentric jailbird who helps plan the heist. It is a comedy so I think it will play to stereotypes, but it seemed good-humored from the preview.

Tatum spent some time in WV before he became a star. He was at Glenville St. for a brief time.

Of course it will play to stereotypes. That is all those writers know.

I have to admit some of the movies that play to stereotypes can be really funny though. The movie Raising Arizona played to every poor, trashy one you can think of and it was hilarious. I wish they would make more comedies like that.
