Where can I find Charter/Incorporation documents online for WV Cities?

I want to find/see the actual document, the charter, the incorporation, the pronouncement, the legislative act, whatever it may be… for a WV city, Morgantown, for instance. What paper/document/act made it an official legal entity?

Where (online) can I find this?

Thank you.

I'm not sure if any way to see the actual/original documents in scanned form exists. It appears that most documents have been digitized so that they can be updated. The City of Huntington, for example, has its city charter along with various codes/ordinances at this link: https://library.municode.com/wv/hunt..._of_ordinances I'd imagine many other cities in the state have something similar.

You may be able to find some original scanned documents at some of the links below. I hope this helps.

Contact a librarian! They still exist and love this kind of assignment.
