Hello All-
My DD is turning 1 in April and I would like to plan a nice birthday party for her. I realize that at 1 yo she will not appreciate much of the activities, but I would like to do something special. So I'm looking for a venue to host the party, entertainment / activities for small group of kids (approx 10) and large group of family /friends (approx 30). Lower Westchester is ideal. Nothing formal, but must be fun!
Thanks in advance.

How do you plan to top that party next year, and each year until the DD turns 18? Can't you think of beneficial ways to spend money when celebrating your child?
I had a really nice big birthday party for my first chlld --a beach party. She was happy as a clam, as was I, as were our guests. A one-year old party is more for grownups. I just found a picture of it. It was fun. If someone is head-over-heels happy about their baby, what's the harm?
Thanks for the feedback. Turns out we had a wonderful time at the Larchmont Country Club. Those of us who want to celebrate no matter what the age (or cost) should keep doing it. If it makes baby happy, it will make us happy.
At 1 its about the grown-ups, not the baby - so please them.
