We are planning to move to a house in Mahopac, New York and are coming from an apartment in Queens - can anyone give us a ball park of how much utilities are for a 3 bedroom house?( Gas oil, etc) Are water and sewer included in your taxes or is that a separate bill? I know that there are factors like how old the house is or how insulated but we are just looking for a rough estimate. Thanks

I have a 3 bedroom spilt with gas heat and central AC a bit further south. House was built in 1958 and is reasonably insulated.

My average Con Ed bill for gas and electric is $409. Average village water bill is $260 every three months, municipal sewer included. Heat is forced air kept at a constant (desired) temp of 68 in the winter and 72 in the summer.

I have an extremely efficient furnace (98%) and a brand new refrigerator. However, we have numerous computers and lights that are always on.
