Does anyone know what was going on in Tarrytown last night (Wednesday)? It looked like a pink/orange fire in the sky around 10-11 pm. Did not look like a thunderstorm, more like aliens landing or a big outdoor concert (surely not in this weather!).
Was it close to the ground (i.e., not overhead)? There were widespread transformer failures, and a large one would definitely fit the description that you provided.
Thanks! It was pretty high but the light could have come from the ground. We saw it from Irvington, just guessing the source was in Tarrytown.
