It's time for me to renew my license. My son waited 3.5 hrs to get his senior (enhanced) license at the White Plains DMV last week. I will lose my mind if I have to wait that long. Any good experiences with other Westchester DMVs ?
Drive up to the one in Carmel (Putnam County). Right off I-84 exit 19. In-n-out, even at the busiest times I don't think I've ever been in there longer than like 30 minutes. Typically less. Whatever time you spend driving up there from WP and back will easily be made up in the shorter waiting time. Just don't give the secret away

We make appointments. Really seems like the most efficient way. The time we would save going to at the DMVs in Peekskill or Carmel would be outweighed by the driving time to get there.
I don't understand how your son had to wait 3.5 hours- did he not make an appointment?
I've never had to wait anywhere near that long, but I've always made appointments.
No, he was not able to make an appointment for a 1st time senior licence. I have another friend that recently waited 3 hrs to renew her license also at White Plains. I don't know if she had an appointment.
