I am looking for some information/experience with the commute by car into lower Manhattan (west side) from some of the closer Hudson line stops to NYC - Ardsley-on-Hudson, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson. Does anyone actually drive this by car in the mornings and evenings? (I know most will say - take the train...but was just wondering) I am curious about depart/arrive times and how the Saw Mill and 9A look at various commute times (both morning and evening). I am trying to answer the question in my head of "Is this (roughly) 25 miles each way doable by car each day?" Any first hand experience here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Some people do drive in. I have driven it quite often at rush hour. To get from Hastings to Tribeca takes me 40 minutes. However, if you know the Saw Mill you know that it is a dangerous road and so narrow that when there's an accident, it's an instant parking lot.
