I saw a rental on craigslist that is in the Amour Villa area of Bronxville. What is that area like? How close is it to the village of Bronxville (train, stores, restaurants)?

Thanks!

It's actually in the city of Yonkers, but very close to Bronxville. You have all of the Bronxville amenities: train, shopping, etc., but not the village services.

And not Bronxville schools, if it means anything to you.

Definately be sure to check out the area before you make a final decision. It is an extremely wealthy town. Nothing wrong with that. But you should know that many of the downtown stores are open primarily in the am and early afternoon during weekdays. This is the time when the stay at home wives and mothers are able to shop or go to lunch with the nannies and kids. Weekends seem to be family time when the entire family can be together and therefore stores are not as frequented or open. There are several nice little restaraunts on the main road and a few taverns in the town for some entertainment. I lived there when I first moved to NY about 4 years ago. I jumped into a lease before I knew what the area was like. It was a safe place that I enjoyed, but I was looking for some more action and younger crowd. I was only 22 when I moved there.
