thank john for your input, i think i am leaning more towards white plains, and or hartsdale,larchmont after careful consideration, but thanks for the help

fews years back I remember flooding down East Hartsdale ave down to the Hartsdale train station. It mostly messed up the southern( downhill) side pretty bad, closed a few shops too. Northern side of the street was fine though.

I can certainly echo with Ambarstone's recommendation on Tanglewood. I used to rent not far from Tanglewood in WP and wish I had purchased one of those very nice co-ops. Parking in the garage next to the WP train station could be a pain; you have to get there early cuz it gets filled up pretty quick. So, getting something within walking distance from the WP train station definitely makes sense.

Try to the area near Fleetwood train station. That is not bad either.
