My husband and I are moving to the east coast in april of '08 and we are deciding between new york and connecticut. My husband will be working in NYC and I will be working in CT. Are there any affordable, safe, places in NY that would be a good central point. We are hoping not to spend more than 1100 on an apartment. Any advice would be helpful.
Tell us a bit more. How many bedrooms? Do you have kids? I think it will be hard to rent an apt in NY for 1100 unless you are looking for a studio, but I own a co-op and don't know the pricing for rent these days. I am sure somebody will jump in with an answer for you.
No kids. One cat We don't mind living in a studio but would prefer a one bedroom. As long as it is in a safe area.
