Hello, I am going to work in Mooresville but want to live around 40-50 miles Northwest and commute daily.

Can anyone suggest a good city where I can live. My daughter is 6. We would like her to go to a good elementary school as well.

Taylorsville is one option I came up with. Any idea what is the best elementary school in that area?

Your suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you

That's going to be an hour commute each way. That's two hours you won't be with your daughter. Is there a reason you don't want to live in Mooresville? Do you need to be NW of it? How about Statesville (N of M'ville), Salisbury (E), Troutman (N), or one of the towns to the south?

The main reason is, I want to be inbetween Wilkesboro and Mooresville (around 30-40 minutes each way) and found Taylorsville. If you have a suggestion for any other town that would be better please let me know.

Thanks !!

Lowe's is making you work in both towns?

That's not easy! With that information, no, I don't have a better town to suggest, but . . . will you go to both places equally often?

I can't imagine driving one hour each way to work with a 6 year old daughter. Unless you have extremely reliable child care; she will get sick, she's a child; what about the summers when school is out, school vacations, holidays etc. Unless you have a very important reason for moving.

Hi,

My wife will take care of the the child. She is a home maker. I don't have to worry about outside child care. Thanks

Whoops... sorry , assumed you were the wife. Couldn't tell by your message if you were the wife or the husband.
