Hi all-
We have a contract on a fixer in Black Mountain! We are excited and terrified.
It is a pre-war home that hasn't been updated in probably 30 years, so we'll get to restore and renovate as we like. Now I'm looking for an excellent home inspector who is well versed in older homes. In my experience with buying and selling other old houses, I've discovered a big difference in reports from inspectors who mainly work with/favor new houses and those more familiar with the, um, quirks of homes built in the 1930s. Anyone have a recommendation? Feel free to PM me. Thanks!
