Hi everyone,
It's possible I might be moving to Boone, NC with my boyfriend who was accepted into graduate school at ASU. We're moving from Austin, TX and there are a few things I'm concerned about.
1. Does anyone know if there are healthcare options for people that do not have health insurance? Like low-cost clinics with sliding scales or free clinics and things like that?
2. What is the likelihood of finding a well-paying job in this area that offers comprehensive benefits? I currently work in the real-estate/property preservation industry.
3. What is Boone like? Is it open-minded and friendly? Or does it have a small-town mentality? (I don't mean to offend anyone by saying that, I'm just trying to figure out what it might be like).
4. Has anyone else moved from a big city into the town and can share their experience?
