Bachelorette Party in Asheville (wedding, bars, homosexual)

Hi everyone!

I'm getting married in Asheville in September, and I'll be having my bachelorette party there two nights before the wedding.

I'm thinking about starting the night at Zambra for some wine and tapas, but after that I'd like to go somewhere with some energy.

If we go bar-hopping, any recommendations for bars to hit?

If you are ok with a place that claims its a gay club, check scandals. Even though its main focus is the homosexual factor, its a really fun place to dance and everyone is always nice. It doesn't have that sleazy, trying to pick people up for one night stands feeling. Plus if you are going with your girlfriends you wont have to worry about being hit on a ton!

As for bars: My favorite was always the yatch club. But there are several right in that area. And of course some nights are just better than others based on the crowd. Also check out the bier garden. You can play guitar hero and such there if it interests you.

Actually, gay bars really get tired of bachelorette parties coming in and filling up the place with drunk giggly straight women who gawk at the gay people (on their own turf) as if they are zoo animals.

I know it's not WHY you were recommending it. But my point was that the regular patrons of gay bars do not appreciate the "point and gawk" attitude of typical bachelorette parties.
