To add some fuel to "the cougars in western NC" campfire, here is a pic I C&P'd from a good friend on FB, who lives in the Asheville area. The photo is from a friend of hers, but the location, time and pic is real fwiw, per her trust in the source.

The comments on her FB posting were very divided as to whether it was a cougar or a bob cat...

The pic could be a big bobcat, but the person that owns the trail cam went back and posed to show tree trunk size and paw print size. Not poz id, but interesting, esp in terms of the musculature of the cat's shoulders; wish we could have seen the full tail.

The tail would tell a lot for sure. Wondering about the coloring of the cat; aren't bobcats more striped? Geesh, if that is a long tail, I'm voting for a small mountain lion. That cat seems to have one dark line of hair down the center of his/her back.

Some church friends who live on Jeter Mtn. swear there is a mountain lion/puma that has been around their place for several years now. I haven't seen the photo, but supposedly their son took one a while back of a big tawny cat from his 2nd floor window showing the cat sprawled out enjoying a sunbath on top of his black Jeep one early morning.

Hi, yeah, I couldn't figure out how to make the link "live" Can someone tell me how to do that? I didn't see any option for that when I posted.

So I just copied and pasted, but then it adds "HTTP" at the beginning and ruined the link for some strange reason!
I see you guys figured it out though.

I'll try again here anyway:

I'll try again here anyway: If you start at this link they will all just play one after the other: But you have to start your copy at the www. and end at the =1

Hilarious white squirrel antics - YouTube

Just go up to the address window at the top that starts with http://,

Click once on it and it will turn blue/shaded

Then right click and choose "copy"

Go down to the line in your message or reply, and right click on "paste". The magic computer will put it right where you want it. For example, I will cut and paste the URL from the address window at the top of this page and put it here:

//www.city-data.com/forum/weste...l#post33329319

When I leave this page, the URL will show up with title and the video. Clear as mud 'eh ....

Hi QuilterChick -Yes, that's exactly what I have done repeatedly. It must be because I am new here as of today! Maybe that feature just isn't working yet for my posts.

If you are using Explorer you have to delete the "http://" that defaults into the box, otherwise when you paste the URL, you'll have duplicate "http://" and that messes up the link. When I'm in Google Chrome, it doesn't do that.

Yes, I have done that repeatedly too. I am in firefox. Never had a problem like this at any other forum so I'm thinking its because I'm new here today and I'm just not fully activated or something.

I copy and paste the link, even remove the http so that it begins at www. Then I post and the http shows up automatically at the beginning along with (url) at the beginning and the end. And, of course the link doesn't turn blue and activate.
