I found a nice home located in the Bear Paw Views community(Desali Way). Anyone familiar with that area? Many questions to ask and checking to see if this post will have any response before I ask

Bear Paw Views. I read alot of the archives on Murphy itself and it seems like it is either a love it or hate it town.

I am not familiar with Bear Paw Views.

What draws you to Murphy?

I have been looking in WNC/east TN, which I have been too many times(Chatt area), and found a nice home that is listed in a short sale outside of Murphy. No busy roads or trains blowing horns, not too far out from town, weather looks like paradise compared to living on Lake Erie. Looks to be near good fishing and a good place to take my best friend swimming....a lab. I am not the type that needs to be entertained all the time or go out to eat 4 times a week. Not much a crowd person. I like to socialize some, but love quiet most of the time. I checked out homes in the Franklin area for 4 or 5 days a few years ago, but wasn't real impressed.

So, what was it about Franklin you weren't impressed with? I'm wondering if you'd feel the same about Murphy.

I guess the homes that I looked at were not isolated enough or had issues, no basement, too close to highway, etc.. It was okay, but want a bit more privacy and better scenery.

There are nice houses in Franklin with all that you want, but they obviously weren't on the market when you looked.

For me, two of the biggest issues with Murphy compared with the rest of WNC, is that it's hotter in summer and it's lack of access to major hospitals. The latter won't affect most people until they need serious medical treatment and then living there becomes a giant pain in the a$$.
