from wv to nc (Hickory, Claremont: high school, place to live, moving)

i used to live in claremont when i was younger, my family is from wv and i hate it here if you have ever lived in wv you would understand. anyways iam now 25 and wanting to move back to what i consider home, claremont was a great place to live growing up and i have always missed it. I will be finishing up my nursing degree next summer thats when i plan on moving, my husband has never been to the area and dosent know what to expect. i know as a Registered nurse i will be able to find work he on the other hand has no degree besides a high school diploma, any tips on him finding a good job out there? he has worked in corrections and was considering a job in it out there. any advice on our move would be greatly appreciated !

well..., depending on where in WV you're at.... Claremont ain't much different. I've spent time in both places. probably best thing Claremont has is I-40 and US70 so you can drive to Hickory for a job.
