Trying to figure out what the cost of a complete HVAC system would be in a 720 square foot cabin in Hendersonville/Edneyville area, it currently has a portable propane heat and window a/c. Also a reputable company if anyone knows one.

For that small sq. ftg., you may want to consider getting one of the built in wall type a/c that are used in hotel rooms. Or, the Mitsubishi unit that is very quiet and efficient and is set high up on a wall. Check their website.

These units (up on the wall) are referred to as Mini-Splits. The compressor is outside and the air handler inside on the wall. They work the same as a heat pump/ac but more cost efficient for a small space, no duct work being the biggest savings and designed for smaller spaces. Much info online, under Mini-Split HVAC

The deal with mini-splits is that are optimized for one space. They are not systems. A great technology, but don't expect them to do what they are not designed to do.

If the cabin is one big room, you are in business.
