Edneyville and Fletcher seem to be cities in the area that are slightly more affordable.
There are trailer parks all over this area. Even some of those two room shacks with the tin roofs going out by Bat Cave.
Realistically you're probably going to have a long search for anything nice under $300,000.

Not really. The city is supposedly working on getting teachers vouchers for affordable housing. Then again it is one of the lowest paying states for already underpaid teachers.
