My wife and I are considering a move to Hayesville. I'm wondering how people like living there. It appears to be a quiet little town with minimal shopping, crime, etc. Am I wrong?
How far do you have to go to get to 'major civilization'? I assume Murphy is the closest big town with hospitals, events, etc.
Are the people busybodies all up in everyone else's business? How about local government, are they reasonable and chill or like to throw away tax-payer money?

Thanks in advance for any input.
Re Bold: Yes, count on that..
I grew up not too far from there and the gossip mills run 24/7. Its just a fact of life in little towns like that..
