That’s WONDERFUL! I have to be honest, since moving to this slice of heaven a year ago, we haven’t yet had the opportunity to check out the wineries. But our best couple friends and Napa/Sonoma travel buddies are visiting next month, and we plan to see what we’ve been missing. Would love any particular recommendations if appropriate for this thread in honor of our National recognition!

Several of the wineries have gorgeous mountain views (e.g., Point Lookout). Some have music/bands on different dates. We have not found the wines to be comparable to CA wines.
I give it zero credibility given Virginia isn't mentioned. In the wine world outside of CA, WA and OR the wines/wineries of VA are a solid 4th and arguably 3rd above WA.

You need to revisit Virginia, there are dozens of top quality wineries that have been producing for decades.
We have been to both. IMO, the views don't compare to Point Lookout. Burntshirt now has a restaurant, but have not been to. I would say the wines are comparable at these three.
