There are a few things that I miss that I wish were still around. Shakey's Pizza and Buffet. My parents used to take me here on my birthday. I miss the place. Hot N Now. I miss the 3 for $1 cheeseburgers. Boston Market. The place used to be a Rocky Rococo's before that and now it's a Sprint Store. I used to work there and remember the restaurant manger named Connie used to annoy the hell out of me.

I also wish Port Plaza Mall/ Washington Commons never closed. That mall was a hub in downtown for many years. It disappoints me that a place like that is gone. Yet Bay Park is thriving. I think that Green Bay needs to reassess the mall situation for downtown. It would be nice to have it back. But the old food court with Taco Bell, McDonalds and Sbarro is gone. But oh well.

What are some places you guys miss in Green Bay?

I moved to Minneapolis years ago and actually have nightmares that I am back in Green Bay. I miss absolutely nothing. Minneapolis offers tons more in every way imaginable.

Ok, sorry about my sarcasm. Yeah, I do notice that alot of places have closed since when I lived there.. But I notice a lot bigger Hispanic presence now. I bet there is some great Mexican food to be found? I don't know, I just find the Old Country Buffet and don't worry about food choices in Green Bay when passing thru.

The Restaurant scene is not at all exiciting. Flame me if you want because I haven't been to every place. It's pretty standard fare. Prices are low. There is barely any type of theme or fun place except for some national chains. I had to visit recently on business matters and after a week of eating out I could only say, 'please just a little pretention sometime.' Hey music! I live in Mpls.. city not burbs.. glad to see your comments here.

Yeah, I admit that. I am still a fan of Brett Favre tho... Go Pack!!...The Packers were a part of my youth, so I haven't turned my back on everything.

I only get to see maybe 4 to 5 Packers games a season because I live in PA so it's hard for this Packer fan but it's ok. I plan on maybe moving back to Green Bay as soon as I graduate from school

Default Max & Erma's!

I moved away from Green Bay about 2 years ago. One of the things I miss most is the Brown County library system (which isn't extinct or anything, but it's just something I miss). My library card could be used in DePere, downtown, Howard (my personal favorite), Ashwaubenon, etc. They were all easy to get to & pleasant to be in. I never wanted for reading material when I lived in Green Bay.

I also miss Max & Erma's. There used to be 2 locations, one on Oneida & the other near Woodman's. I realize this is a chain restaurant, but I loved their food. I haven't found a Max & Erma's anywhere else.
