Thanks for the info. I will definitely call when we find out if Marshfield will be our new home.

The taxes are high, but not too bad compared to here. We were really impressed with how much house and land you can get for your money there. Just to give you an example, I found a listing for a 57-year-old house in RI (in need of TLC) with about 1400 sq feet, one garage, and pretty much no land for about $365,000. The estimated taxes are $3740. It's not like it has an ocean view or anything (those houses are even more expensive!).

The prices and our taxes were considerably lower in Iowa City, IA and the schools there were excellent, so I don't totaly buy the need for such high taxes for better schools.... Of course, neither Wisconsin nor Iowa have the corruption that we have here in RI. It's kind of sad when that's the main point of all the political campaigns (who is or isn't corrupt).

Thanks again! I have to say that the general enthusiam about Wisconsin on the forum is impressive. It sounds like a great place to live (especially with a family).
