I’m not sure that anyone will even respond to this, but we are currently in the process of relocating to chilton due to a job transfer. We are a biracial family. I am so nervous for my daughter and just want her to feel accepted. Also, it seems that the registered sex offenders for the chilton area is very high. Can anyone tell me if it’s a safe area, and do you think my biracial daughter would fit in ok? Thank you.

You will be fine, Chilton has a small but visible minority population more Hispanic than any other group but I travel their for work and it's not uncommon to see a Hispanic or someone of mixed race. I wouldn't worry about it, Chilton and that area is quiet nice and clean and very peaceful and yet close to Appleton/Sheboygan and a drive into Milwaukee is not that bad time wise.

I'm confident your daughter will be accepted in Chilton. I grew up about 15 miles east of there and while the area is conservative, it is open to diversity. Chilton has amazing amenities for a town of 4,000, plus it's within commuting distance of Green Bay, Appleton, Sheboygan, and Manitowoc. As for safety: it is very safe...small town Americana. Don't worry about sexual offenders.

Don't move there. I dont think youll have many racial problems, but all those little towns east of Lake Winnebago suck. Thats an extremely difficult area to make friends. Chilton, Plymouth, Kiel, all that stuff is pure trash. Not to mention the people are insanely suspicious and nosy. Once got the cops called on me cuz I stopped in a restaurant and asked to look at their phone book. No lie. This really happened. Ivw never heard anything good about the people there and sure haven't experienced much good neither.

Youd be a thousand times better off to move to Appleton and commute to Chilton for work each day. Appleton is tons friendlier with tons more amenities than any of those towns by Chilton. I stress this
....do not move there. You will HATE it. Everyones family goes back like 50 generations and it will be impossible to fit in
