So meanwhile everyone else in the state was enjoying 80+ weather if you happen to live within 5 blocks of the lake you had 56-59 degree weather, at least I did.

Man MC you ought to move to Miami. I think this is the first time you've been positive about the weather here in Wisconsin. I myself woulld like a constant 80 through the summer. I can deal with 90, however the 80* dew points can leave already. How's everyone been? Where has summer gone?

So is it just me or is The Wisconsin State Fair turned into one giant wal-mart or Northern Mississippi or maybe White Trash Fest. Maybe I just went on the wrong day, don't think I will ever be going back.

To be honest I haven't been to a county fair in years, never did like them. Seems like it was always people the you didn't want to run into. Besides if I want something unique I'll head to State Street in Madison.

Just want to say, what a wonderful time I had recently, visiting friends in Wisconsin. My second visit to Door County too. Badger Ordnance Works was fascinating and I love to stop off in off-the-main road towns.

Berenice,
Very glad you enjoyed your trip. What did you think of the Badger Ordinance works? I reside in Baraboo and have never been there.

It will mostly all be demolished by fall this year; still a few buildings standing when I was there plus a very interesting museum which will remain. Must have been quite a sight in its heyday.

We only stopped off there after seeing it as we were passing but a stop well worth making.

Thanks Jill,
Do you and your hubby have any pictures from up north? I'd love to see some snow pictures from the northwoods.
