My sister and brother-in-law go into a bayou area in Louisiana every year to help out. They stay down a week or two and say it is a very rewarding experience. They've gone to other places, Indian reservations, I think.

Hi! The show last night was an eye-opener - such hardships in a beautiful setting. It was so nice to see the dentist helping out those people with the terrible teeth. Susan - I've always wanted to do something similar to your sister and brother-in-law - it shows there are still really good people out there! Thanks everyone who has wished each other a Happy Valentines day. Same to you all. The show certainly was eye opening. As Suecen said it's tough to see such a struggle in such a beautiful place. The sad thing is it kind of reminds me of the UP of Michigan, economically depressed.
