My husband works with restaurants. He thinks a George Webb's in Ladysmith would be tough. But they are getting Walmart so who knows.

They are talking a Country Kitchen right now in a new building going up near Kwik Trip.

But so far not alot of choices to eat here.

McDonalds
Subway
Taco Palace
Back door Cafe
Indianhead Cafe only open through mid-day
and taverns that serve food.

PM me will give more info on who to contact on this Country Kitchen one.

We had one in Appleon. Went there quite a bit. I miss it. Come open one here in Las Vegas.

One thing with this town is if use local contractors business will be better as if use out of area as 1 gas station did alot will avoid it.People are always looking for something different and travelers that come through always want a nice place to eat not this McD's junk.

My husband and I have lived in Ladysmith for nearly twenty years now. With Walmart coming we have been seriously thinking about investing in a food franchise. We love Ladysmith but working for others is not the way to go. Would anyone have any ideas about what type of franchise might be the best to succeed?
I apologize in advance if this post doesn't appear properly as I have never blogged before - I know, where have I been! Thanks for your understanding.

Woody I live in Ladysmith and lived in Sheldon also..My opinion and from what heard from others around would be a KFC or something on that order..We have subway(they do not wear hairnets and after finding hair in sandwich no more) Taco Palace but never ate there not seem like alot of business,Grandpa's Pizza better than the lanes pizza. McDonalds for the kids but KFC get a full meal for whole family take out or dine in sounds good I know I would come there. Country Kitchen supposedly going in where Davis motel was.

KFC, I hadn't thought about that one. Your right, Taco Palace doesn't seem to do much business except for at lunch and I think that's because not much to pick from. I'll do my research on KFC. If you have any other ideas or hear from others, please don't hesitate in letting me know. Thanks for your reply.
