You apply for a second part time position at your current employer (or to another company) and the trainer/supervisor proposes several training days to choose from. You choose a date and think everything's set; he says that you'll be job shadowing with a current employee. You then show up as instructed, you're led to the training room and meet your future teammates. What happens next?
The supervisor asks the teammates how their workloads are, one says, we have almost nothing to do, to which he replies: well in that case you guys can leave early, and to you he says, we're going to have to do this another time.
Great. So the money spent on gas, parking, not to mention time lost has all gone to waste. What's to say they'll be enough work the next time you show up to start training? Hmmm...the only silver lining I can see in this situation is that I got to stop by a discount grocery store near my office and stock up on much needed supplies. But otherwise, what a waste. Tell me I'm the only one who's ever experienced this scenario...surely no other company would do the same.
Enough's enough! Are they just trying to get me to quit?"
You posed the question in your last thread and this is a continuation of that scenario. No, I've never experienced anything remotely like this and I think your employers just want to see the back of you. Good luck.
lol the op works with very selfish idiots. It's like some stupid scene out of Seinfeld or The Simpsons. I can't wait for this corporation to be exposed for gross incompetence, e.g. waste of company resources, and borderline discrimination of a person with a disability. Unethical all the way.
