My supervisor asked me to pick up her check at HR when I got mine. The HR (who is fairly new) hemmed and hawed about not wanting to give me the other one (everything is DD) I said no worries, but she gave it to me anyway and in five minutes it was in my supervisor's hands.
Half hour later I see HR asking my boss "well I almost called you to check"
Should I let it go?
Should I ask her why didn't you call her in the first place?
Should I find something else to worry over?
thanks CD friends.
HR probably shouldn't have given you the check in the first place. At the very least HR should have called to check. You don't mess around with paychecks.
And this is beyond being thin skinned. It is being irrational that you are bothered by that comment.
Yes you are too thin skinned. And your supervisor sounds lazy. She either should have advised HR you would be picking up her check or have gotten it herself.
And look at it from the HR person's perspective. You said they're new, they don't want to do something they're not supposed to and then cause problems that come back to bite them.
