I quit my job after being forced to take a 3 week medical leave. After returning to work I was given 11 pages of write ups! All were false and or made up by my office manager, I have felt like she was trying to get rid of me for some time but this was ridiculous. I felt I had no choice but to quit before I was fired for made up reasons.
I filed for unemployment for constructive discharge (being forced to quit) But I now have been denied for a second time. I sent documentation that my office manager lied and contradicted herself in her "write ups" but It was denied again. I am of course going to appeal but I'm not sure where to go from here...what do I send in now? Do the unemployment people even read what I send in?

i was terminated from my job the day after i was released from workman's comp and vacation.i was denied of unemployment due to" poor job performance" such as not following proper procedures when scanning and logging documents, error in transaction causing members account to be shorted and falsifying referral in order to ge credit for. this is all a lie.
Since this manager started working for Westerra Credit Union, she has constantly harassed and criticized me. Prior to her working for Westerra I had never had any problems with the company. In fact, I was always praised for my hard work and dedication. Members would complete surveys stating how happy they were with my service; mystery shoppers gave me a perfect score because I followed all the procedures while providing quality service; I always made my sales goals; and on my last review I received high remarks for having perfect attendance. I had been with the company for 5 years and never in that time (prior to Wanda working there) had I been disciplined for “poor performance.” During my time with Jeffco/Westerra I had always been praised for my dedication to compliance and performance and for my outstanding work ethic. she only work there for a couple months, I was immediately written up and then terminated.I can't afford to hire a lawyer but any advice would greatly appreciated.

Scorpio81, in (non-regressive) states you can get free legal counselling, and attorneys are -required- to provide some minimum of pro bono work. You need legal input before you move forward. You also need as much documentation as you can come up with. Check with the local bar association and with -civil- court clerks to ask for services. These still exist, for the time being, but are starved for funds.

glumbao1940, you have an easier case for UE, unless you are in one of the southern or midwestern states. Hopefully you have copies of all your past reviews. Always good to accumulate those in case something ever happens. It may be that Wanda was hired for some specific purpose, like to clean up a department, but she took a personal dislike for you. You have to prove that your performance had not deteriorated but that she portrayed it as so, and this needs to be hardcopy proof of some sort, because a stranger at a labor board will know it's in your interest to say these things and they need an independent reference.

I know he has had some scandals, but Martino does still help alot of people IMO, call in to his show and ask one of his legal referral network, its' free! Sorry about Westerra I was thinking of opening with them now not so much after reading your post.
