Guess we should be telling young people to learn how to build, service and repair these robots. Pretty soon, we will all be working for the robots. Then, we will build robots to do the building, servicing and repairing of these robots. Then the robots will realize they don't need humans around anymore... Sounds like a plot to a certain movie

I would love to see robots replace lawyers! Although; I am not too sure if they would not sue us for a good lube job and some new battery packs!

If robots ever come anywhere near replacing lawyers, the lawyers will simply write laws banning the use of robots. Voila, problem solved.

Not if robots create the “Terminator” series first!

I can see air traffic control jobs going away if they got the right technology. They wouldn't go away completely, of course, but the whole process could be automated.

and as those lawyers that are replaced move to other specialties, it will drive down costs.

people are going to be amazed at what robots/AI is going to take over in the next few decades. probably everything...

The ultimate goal would be to replace our entire legal system with computers. Of course it all depends on how impartial and fair they would make the programs. Computers are great at facts; as you pointed out. As long as they have the guidelines and correct input of the actual evidence; is there any reason that they could not try and sentence immediately? The real advantage would be if new evidence surfaced - sentences could be instantly overturned or lengthened. It could lead to “Equal justice for all” - if done properly.

We still have the one big problem with robots and computers - how do we earn a living or how do we distribute the wealth?

But then you have the issue of tampering and network security

Put them in the DMV. They can't possibly worse than the humans there at the moment.
