I'd ban nepotism and fire all the sycophants.

I sure wouldn't pay to send a bunch of managers to go to a whining retreat so they could sit around complaining about employees and how stringent rules are. Y'all sound like a bunch of old biddies in housecoats griping about their husbands.

And you sound like a bitter, unemployed person obsessed with trying to make a point against me, a point that I would promptly print, and wipe the BS13690 off my managerial bottom with. lol

I'd ban lunch hours for managers. And bathroom breaks too.

I'd make all the managers park a mile away and make them swim through an alligator infested moat to get to the building. Then I'd take up with their wives after their funeral.

I am an executive chef and I choose my assignments. So, as the boss, I determine what clients I choose to prepare my food for and offer my talents to.

I have to say "bossman" (lol) I wouldn't work for you with your **** poor attitude toward everyone else if you threw 100s at my feet and kissed my pots and pans.

I've rejected people with more money than you and with people you'd be lucky to shine their shoes. The real classy bosses and managers and CEOs (not low level paper pusher types like you) don't need to throw their weight around and rag on their employed to teach them lessons in work ethics.

I LOVE rejecting arrogant SOBS like you who think they deserve my 5 star services.

1. Get physical with employees.
I know it sounds bad, but how many times have you wanted to grab Joe or Jane by the scruff of the neck and slapped some sense into them?

I have an employee now, who thinks hes some sort of MMA fighter tough guy, and is a bit of a rebel, hes quite bigger than me, if I could legally in a position of management hit him without repercussions, id whoop him til he acted right!

2. Make overtime pay obsolete.

We have so much work to be done, since we have huge contracts, that we have a mandatory overtime schedule, 6 12s and every other sunday.

I wish we would just have to pay straight time, it would cut my man-hour dollars down drastically, and would enable me to push for 16 hour days.

3. Put trouble makers or slow movers in a " dunce cap " type punishment.

I would love for the entire production line to see someone wearing a sign that says " Im a turtle " or " I have a problem with authority " as a way to keep straight, that one was actually brought to me by an EMPLOYEE!

I loved the idea.

Now I would love to hear some of yours.

I think you have some serious anger/control issues.

I don't ever have the desire to get physically violent with anyone. Not even when I am upset.

My things I wish I could do if I were more executive management

1. Ability to hire/purchase more resources when needed without a long and terribly lengthy process

2. Be able to really reward top performers with significant pay increases/bonuses

3. Offer a vacation purchase program (some companies are able to do this and I think it offers a lot of flexibility for those who don't mind paying into an extra week of vacation

4. Sabbaticals for key performers who may want to spend extra time learning new skills, volunteering overseas, doing business immersions, etc.

5. A more aggressive rank and push out process. If someone is really dead weight and never truly producing- I want to be able to move them out easily and systematically similar to the old GE program
