Illinois has not said anything about issuing anything more than a basic license.

They shouldn't issue anything to illegal aliens.

How do the citizens of Illinois FEEL about this?

I know when former Gov. Spitzer tried it, NY'ers shouted him down and he quickly abandoned the plan.

Seems folks in Illinois are used to being told what to do, and how things are going to run. Very bizarre. Nothing ever works in the general public's favor, yet people seem conditioned to this.

Pretty sad. All the production shops up here are flush with migrant laborers. They aren't even employers, the temp agencies supply them. Minimum wage and they sit there 8 hours a day doing the same repetitious low skilled work all day long. The companies won't even hire an American for those jobs because they know no one in their right mind would do a job like that for such little pay. Kinda reminds me of reading about Rome before the collapse... Slaves were doing all the actual work, while the citizen class generally had nothing to offer, and grew fat off state itself. Just as unsustainable today as it was then I would imagine.

The problem is they think $12/hr is great money. Hard to compete against that. Honest work just ain't so honest anymore.
