So true. For now I love what I do and would love to do it for many years to come. A big reason for wanting more money is to be able to maximize retirement savings, purchase money making assets, finance money making ideas, and have a quality of life that we desire. A benefit that we would use is maxing out our 403B and an IRA. Current numbers are $17,000 a person, and if I am reading the rules correctly that is per worker. For us that would be $34,000 per year for the 403B. I think for 2013 it goes up to $17,500 a person. You can also contribute up to $5,000 per person for an IRA. With that having more money would allow us to save a combined $44,000 a year all tax defered for now. A couple can make up to $178,000 and still be allowed to save the maximum amount tax defered.

Doesn't matter as long as you have enough to pay the bills and keep you above water.

About $95,000 would be ideal.

I voted 90k to 100k. That's for a family of 3, that I hope to have eventually.

Right now, 50-60k can work well for me. I live a humble lifestyle.

For my current situation $25-30k would be the minimum.
