Yep.

I tried to get some vacation time but I was denied.

I work nights, and I have to come in to work 3.5 hours early to attend.

Of course, I get to leave early.....but big deal.

What am I going to do at 10:00pm?

I'll stop on the way to work and pick up some dinner rolls.

But eating at noon for me is like a day shift person eating dinner at 7:00AM.

These people are weird.

Just suck it up and be sociable - it won't kill you. And surely you can do just a little better than store-bought dinner rolls. You may not normally eat at noontime but I'm sure you'll break down and enjoy some good grub over which someone else has put in a little time and trouble. Geez.

Shift workers always get shafted. Some idiot decided that a "pot luck dinner" would be a good idea without knowing what its like to work the shift. These idiots need to realize people show up to work and be paid for the work. Adding unnecessary B.S. to workers lives DECREASES morale.
