Not really, just internships. We are actually looking for our first job out of college now.

There are good reasons to avoid spouses working at the same place. We have no such rule and I know of two cases where there was an ugly divorce which eventually caused one of each to leave just because they couldn't work with their former spouse.

We both would like to have different jobs. It's just hard starting out (easier to get hired at larger companies with training programs). So far we have been getting hired into larger training programs. Or we do stuff together like volunteering.

Just curious when you said you were "higher up on the chain".

I'm sorry I wasn't being very clear I guess. I meant we are trying to get higher up the chain.

I say go for it. You both seem to be a team. My only concern here would be if you are hired will he have a problem with it? If he is hired will you have a problem with it? Could this cause problems within the relationship?

Will their be other opportunities in the area for the other person? If one of you accepts the job what happens if another positon comes up in another city far away? Could this cause problems for the both of you?
