I live in the northeast right now. Obviously it's a total rat-race, everyone is focused on career and happilly working 60+ hours. I don't really fit in, i'm more into balance and quality of life.

I know the entire Us is a bit like this, when compared with europe and latin america. But what parts of the US are less like this, when it comes to work and life mentality?

I'm guessing the west coast is an obvious answer. Where else?

West coast is the same as east coast. Try the south for a real work/life balance.

there arent any. well i take it back. where EEOC is the strongest parts of the workforce will be laid back to the point of silly the rest of the office will be doing their work plus their own, very stressful.
