I feel like my PRIVACY has been violated! Last week while waiting for direction for my next assignment, I browsed a few videos, visited discussion forums, and looked up the latest gossip. This morning when I got to work, there were printed web pages from my browsing posted all over my wall with push pins and red X's colored with a sharpie with a formal warning about appropriate use of company resources. What's worse, I have to attend an orientation meant for interns and new hires out of school.

Apparently they can... and did.

How about 'working' at work, instead of surfing the net?

That is why you don't do personal business on company computers, not much you can do about it.

Just take it down, throw it in the trash, and look for a new job.

Agreed. This is very disrespectful. The OP should have been taken aside privately by either HR or the manager to be told this not have it for everyone in the office to see.

Very tacky.

Use company resources on company time. It's really THEIR browsing history, instigated by you.

Clearly you need the orientation as you've forgotten some obviously strongly enforced policies.

Clearly they CAN, but that was a very childish and unprofessional response. A more appropriate way of handing the situation would be a private discussion between you and your supervisor about expectations for behavior on company time.

The OP was at work, on company time, using company resources, Nope the OP shouldn't have been taken aside for a private meeting, the OP should have been FIRED! Enough of this "the employer is being disrespectful to the poor employee", time for employees to take some personal responsibility for their stupid actions!
