Many of the job ads are horrific so it doesn't surprise me the responses are bad. But if you interview with the person who wrote the ad, they won't know any better!

Those applicants need to hope that the first line resume screeners are themselves semi literate and cannot recognize the common blunders discussed here. There are a whole lot of people who make a lot of these mistakes.

Lose/loose makes me crazy.

The phrase "I would say about" is obviously a guess. You just don't have good reading comprehension, do you?

It drives me crazy too, and if I saw it on a resume, I would toss the resume out.

Um, no. 75% of the population can actually spell and knows when to use words and their spellings appropriately.

An incorrectly spelled word on a resume gets it tossed into the Shred pile.

Now, now Pitt Chick, don't fret over people playing fast and lose with the truth, don't loose your mind over it.

I now believe these numbers only correlate to the quality of people from whom you are receiving such documents. Perhaps you should aim higher.
