Help desk and desktop support jobs are by their nature viewed as "easy come, easy go." I worked at six different help desks from 2010-2013 (two of which I leave off the resume) and have rarely been asked about it. Many of these jobs are essentially "gigs" for a few months, then you move on to the next "project." If you're leaving professional jobs like that, it would be a problem.

I am one of the few who would not recommend getting an A+ or any of the basic CompTIA certs. I've found that hiring managers don't care about the certs without experience, and they can get costly to take and maintain. I would buy one of the study guides and familiarize yourself with the material.
