From 2000-2006 I worked for a rather large company and at a slowly increasingly stressful job.
When I started, I was pretty average, no major issues. Got along with everyone and liked my job immensely.
4 years later (2004) I was taking lithium and prozac each day to survive. Thankfully the job ended in 2006. I haven't needed to take that stuff anymore. Have you had to do the same/similar or were you more resilient or did you quit?
Lesson learned, if you're taking that stuff, you're better off NOT working there.

A wise man once said "if you find your work in your dreams at night it's time to look for a new job." Having to take medication to get through the work day is far worse. Rather than wait as long as you did, I would start looking as soon as it became hard to get up in the morning Monday-Friday. That took 16 years the first time, 17 years the second time. Now I have been here 7 years and still look forward to coming in every day. As long as I have challenging work, and plenty of it to keep me busy, along with good compensation, I'm happy.
A job where you need to take substances to get through the day is not worth it imo.
