I actually hate working. As a kid my mom used to say I had two talents that she never met anyone else who was as good at them as me. Those two talents were:
1. Wasting Time.
2. Being Lazy.
Now if I could just find a profession that would put my two best talents to work, I'd become RICH and could stop working altogether!
Maybe, I should run for Government Office. Could my talents be put to good use there?

I hate working too. Why is it that people who admit that are looked down upon? Personally, besides needing money, I think it's stupid. You get up at the same time every day, get ready for work, drive in traffic (could they start letting all office people work at home for cripes sake??), and sit in an office for 8 hours doing mindless work in front of a computer.

Yes, they could. Your congressman spends most of his working time trolling for donations, not studying the issues. And when your elected official is running for reelection, not to mention running for a higher office, just who is doing the work?
I think a much simpler way of putting it would be to say, "Work smarter, not harder!"
Agree. Except my IT management also wanted us to "work smart". Their definition of working smart was to put in as many bone crushing overtime hours as you can, right up to your breaking point. The working smart part is that maybe, just maybe you won't get fired by an angry and hysterical management because they see you putting in that overtime. Just more intimidation to put in more hours. It was a fun time there.

Granted I have been accused of doing everything the hard way, but my experience with the "Work smarter, not harder" crowd is that what they really mean is to get someone else to do the work.
Sounds like a coworker......yet, nobody says a thing
If said coworker(s) treat you like some sort of lower lifeform, and when the work increases to where you physically can't keep up, and you become the problem, not the coworkers, then yes, I can relate to that.
Eventually, all of my opponents self-destructed. The last 5 years of my career were the best ever. I am so glad I stayed instead of retiring as soon as I could.
