Seriously, I've been working in offices for the past decade and I just hate it. I can't stand the following behaviors which are so common in office environments: negative gossip, bullying, condescending and arrogant managers, people trying to make each other look bad, the fake chesher cat smiles, the complaining, the sucking up behavior, the paranoid CYAing, etc.
I'm just sick of it all. So, I'm kind of going back and forth between truck driving and learning a trade. Both will mean a big step back in salary, but I think it will be worth it. Mainly, I just want to do something where I'm on my own for the most part.
Find a job where you can work from home, that's what I did. It's a huge relief not to have to be required to entertain other people all day long. Most offices are like daycare centers for adults these days.
I don't get the anti-office thing. Bad coworkers and managers can easily be ignored. Steps back in salary can be more detrimental than dealing with office stuff.
What you described is working with other people, not working in office jobs.
Learn how to deal with other people, or start your own company so that you don't have to work with anyone else.
what kind of jobs don't involve working with others? Even if you don't have co-workers, you have to have clients or customers of some sort in order to bring in money.

How? You cannot ignore people you HAVE to work with.
Honestly, I shake my head after reading so many of your posts. Where do you get this stuff?

Right. Whether it's internal customer support or external customer support, you're always providing support to somebody if you are in business of any kind.
