There's not that much of a difference between an 8-hour day and a 9-hour day. So that wouldn't be a big sacrifice. However, there's a huge difference between a 5-day week and a 4-day week.

The 4-day/week option is a no-brainer.
I agree. Friday is always a lazy day at work. Also, it would serve as a better life-work balance.
What would you choose:
8 hours x 5 days/week
6 hours x 6 days/week or
9 hours x 4 days/week?
I don't see organizations offering the second two.
I see them offering
8 hours x 5 days a week
9 hours for 8 days, 1 day at 8 hours - but this is over two work weeks @ 5 days a week. The 10th day is off.
10 hours a day for 4 working days, and the 5th day is off.
If I had a long commute, I'd do the 10/4 option. If I had a short commute, doesn't really matter.
