Actually, it's funny you say that, I will be very welcomed at a kibbutz since it is my home country. It would be very possible for me to do that.
And everyone, of course, I am not looking for a place that has ALL those qualities combined; I know it does not exist. I was just hoping someone could advise us a place that has SOME of these qualities we are looking for, because I have not traveled much around the world, and I do not know about many places. On a side note, neither of us are teenage runaways as you may think, we are well above that age. We are specifically trying to move out of the US for a purpose of finding a new life. If we were interested in just running away from our families, we could just wonder off to another US state. Yet that is not what we are looking for.
Oh, also, I didn't mention before but my boyfriend has distant, rich, family in Sicily. I'm not sure how European laws work, but do you think this would family could make any difference?
I hope you like guns, as you will have to serve your time in the Israeli army.
The Democratic Republic Congo Zaire has requirements that is even funnier! Isn't that a place where the welcome wagon is a mean bunch carrying machetes! LOL
Europe? People there with yard long degrees and decades of experience are twiddling their thumbs without jobs and you want to immigrate there? surely you are kidding... forget Europe.
As for Israel, it's a ridiculously expensive country (trust me I traveled in Israel for a month just last year)... having no money completely eliminates that option.
That should be the least of your concerns. You will obviously retain your present citizenship for quite a long time, and with very few exceptions, you will find that no matter where you go, everybody will have more rights than you (an alien) will have, but at the same time, you will have a right to leave and maybe to move about (which your neighbors might not have). You're not going to be voting, so what do you care if your new neighbors can vote or not?
I just looked again through your list of criteria. You know what? I think you would love Iran, and the Iranians are very welcoming of visitors to their country. Sure, you'll have to wear a head scarf, but in just about any country you go to, you;ll have to wear a bra, too --- what's the difference?
The OP hasn't been on C-D since July 2011, so there's no point in resurrecting this thread.
