That's the difference between conservatives and liberals. Liberals also love their country and care about it, but there are a lot of things they would like for it change to make it even better. Conservatives think that America is perfect they way it is and doesn't need to change, and they feel that because liberals want to change a few things, then that means they hate America and should go live in a communist country instead.
Conservatives might not want to change because many times, it's better to not fix something if it isn't already "broken".
I do think Liberals are unfairly portrayed as "unpatriotic" at times. Making the country better is definitely patriotic.
Regardless of which side one prefers, it seems we need a healthy balance of both for a better future.
My point is i think a lot of countries dont like argentinians (for a variety of reasons that i could analize in other posts) but argentinains usually like other countries. Specially europeans, yeah, cause argentinians idiosincracy was built over a bunch of snob thinkers that thought europe was the ideal place on earth.
There is also a big rivalry between Chile and Argentina, the Chileans being more disciplined, German-like, the Argies chaotic. And now this "unpatriotic nation" is again making loud noises against the UK over the Falklands (the keyword here is oil). They should get over it, it would be better for their sanity (BA is the 1st city in the world in ratio psychoanalyst/population, that says a lot on the mental state of some people down there), for the UK will NEVER -I repeat it in case you don't get the message : NEVER relinquish the Falklands.
omg yeah! Argentinians must be psychos cause theres are a lot of psychoanalyst here! oh, well...
I dont care about the Falklands, for all i know they are yours (the UK), and this is a political thing. Do you think people go in their lives caring about who those freezing islands belong to? This is political, average argentinian does not care about this stuff, so stop bringing this up as an example of patriotis cause you are way off.
It haves to do with what they are teached in school, in Chile, in school they are teached that ARGENTINA took the Patagonia from them and they have maps where the Patagonia is Chilean! No wonder why they hate us.
Same here, they give us maps where the falklands are argentinans when you are in primary school, and even with that, most people LOVE brittish people and nobody cares about falklands. Argentinan LOVE tourist. Argentinians think other countries are always better than this one. If a tourist come here (specially from europe, England included of course), all they will hear from argentinians its "oh, you are so lucky for living here, i wish our country was like yours". Argentinians are sucker for european tourist. This isnt a good thing. Actually, sometimes i wish argentinians will have a bit more of national pride, cause the truth is we have a huge and beautiful country and we mostly dont realize about it cause we are always complaining and admiring the foreingers.

But there are some things in the States that are broken, such as the health care system. I'm not for a socialist universal health care system or anything like that, but we need something better than what we have. Japan has a pretty good health care system. It is not cheap, but there is something available for those who cannot afford it. Overall, I think Japan is a country that I wish the U.S. could be more like. I feel like they do things right and efficient over there, not just with the aforementioned health care system, but also with their low crime rate, excellent transportation system, advanced technology, stable economy, etc. For the record, I don't consider myself a liberal or conservative. In fact, Japan isn't an economic model that liberals would want the U.S. to follow (they would prefer countries like Canada or Sweden). Japan is actually more economically conservative and capitalist than the U.S. They are all about large corporations and private sectors. Even their infrastructure is privatized, which is something they should try in the States.
This is so subjective. How can you even label a country as "least patriotic"?
I'm confused. Enlighten me!
Is it safe to say Philippines and Mexico are least patriotic since alot of their citizens are immigrating and applying for citizenships to other countries??

The problem you have with your Heathcare is not economic. The US spends more in public healtcare (free) per capita that most European countries.
The problem is bad management and CORRUPTION (MEDICARE), and MAFIAS (AMA, INSURANCE COMPANIES, PHARMA LOBBIES, ETC).
I will agree with you on the corruption on the giving and receiving end. Lots of fraud that costs billions. Welfare and disability benefits to drug addicts and alcoholics. People lie and cheat the system repeatedly. This makes it even more difficult for those that are honest and are deserving of such benefits to get them.
Argentinians have quite a reputation among southamericans. But in my opinion it is more their thing than our thing. I will give you examples with Uruguay and Brasil: here we love Uruguayos, we consider them our brothers, since they are very similar to us (in a lot of aspects, but mostly culturally, argentina and uruguay are almost identical) and we always talk good about uruguay and uruguayans. But I learned by talking to some Uruguayos that is a popular thing there to talk bad about argentinians, and to say bad things behind our back. This may be for historical reasons and what they ve been taughted in school (uruguay use to be a part of argentina), but it shocked me when i learned it.
And Brasil, well, they are brasilians, everyone loves them! And then you learned the rivalry is more of their part than on ours. I read A LOT of brasilians talking bad about argentinians in this forums, and it also shocked me. I can assure you here we love Brasilians.

I was just having my ritualistic annual xmas conversation with my Uruguayan friend. She is not a big fan of Argentina, either. I guess it is the dislike for the perceived dominance by the big neighbor. A bit like with the Netherlands or Austria and Germany.
Plus, Uruguayans think they invented Tango, while it is always attributed to Argentina.
Plus, Uruguay is a lot more Brazilian so to speak. It is not that Uruguay and Argentina are almost identical in terms of culture.
