Hello.

I am planning on moving somewhere in the next year but not sure which cities or areas of the world to aim for. I'm a 47 year old single man, no kids and already traveled extensively outside the US. I am a retired property owner / manager and Native Floridian. My only family is in Central Florida and I call Ft. Lauderdale home last few years. Having lived in Los Angeles for many years, and loved it - 1990s, and passed time in some Latin American countries ... I want to explore new territory. I need to pick a place and begin the new journey ……… I am liberal and open-minded but also conservative in basic ways of life and living. I love beautiful women and having passed time in Brasil, I am spoiled by all those hot looking women down there. Now the bad part, I am a severe and chronic Night Owl. So cities or areas that shut down at 9PM won't work, and I need to 24-hr Walmart or Publix or Albertsons, or late night eateries or something.

Thanks in advance for commenting …

Asia. Bars and clubs never close in many Northeast and Southeast Asian cities. Plus most have amazing nightlife, less crime, 24-hours of amenities, walkable cities, etc.

..." I need to 24-hr Walmart or Publix or Albertsons..."

Well this pretty much rules out most of Europe. If not most of the world... Macau? Or gotta stay in US !

In my city, Kraków, pubs go on for 24/7 and we have a few 24/7 superstores like Tesco on Kobierzyńska, quite a few 24/7 liquor stores and a few 24/7 neighbourhood shops.

Public transportation is also 24/7, although after 11-12 p.m. the tram system shuts down for 5-6 hours and you'll be dependent on night buses. These usually take longer and are more crowded than trams.

But for Europe, Kraków is more the exception than the rule though...

Perhaps Madrid for Europe and Buenos Aires (and Argentina in general) for South America?

In Buenos Aires people rarely have dinner before 9 PM, while nightclubs and bars don't close until 4am at the earliest (and don't even become packed until 2am) and many large drug stores and kiosks also remain open 24/7.

I wouldn't call it a city that never sleeps, but Montreal's not bad, plenty of 24/7 grocery stores and there's always plenty of people out in certain neighbourhoods at all hours of the night all days of the week. Lots of night spots. My main reason for recommending the city is that despite its size and vibrancy wandering around at 3 in the morning downtown isn't dangerous, crime rate is very low. Also, it's probably one of the very cheapest cities in North America for COL and the women are super hot. There's even huge street festivals in the dead of winter!
